Hello there and congratulations for your great work! I am new to your modded forum and I liked it very much, so I desided to upgrade my forum to your version.

After i finished installation and I changed the permissions to the requiried folders (such as avatars albums etc) I clicked finish installation and I am getting this error:

(etc etc same errors)

I tried changing the permissions of the files to 650, 777, 750, 444 but still doesnt work. My forum URL is http://forum2.v-sag.net/

If anyone could help I will truly appreciate it.

Also i have a database of phpBB 2.2.17 which is the previous version and I want to import all data to phpBB XS. Is that possible?

i fixsed by changing the /includes folder permission to 777, but does this make the folder vulnerable to hack attacks? please let me know.. thanks

Try permissions 755 to includes... I'm not really sure, but I think it's not a good idea to change permissions to 777 to includes folder and let everybody know it!!

now i get a new error after upgrading my forum

Did you run the update_to_xs2.php that you can find in the /install folder?

Remember that you must run it from the root of your forum!!

hi again!

after 3 times of attempting to upgrade my forum i really quit. Please someone help me!

I ran update file from the root of my forum, i replace all files and succesfully doing the config.php, but i still get this error:

nevermind, i found the solution.

for anyone experiencing similar problem AFTER upgrade, please go to your php_config table and erase everything that has to do with "BUDDY"
