Post Phpbb2 To Icy Phoenix

Hi all,

I am new to Icy Phoenix, only just having found it tonight.  I love it!!!

I am currently using phpbb2 and would love to start using Icy Phoenix as soon as I can.

I have a few questions though.

The current phpbb2 forum that I have now has quite a few mods on it.  Would these conflict at all with Icy Phoenix?
And if there is that chance is there a way I can bring over the posts from my phpbb2 forum to the new Icy Phoenix?

Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

Kirsty

try this for saving your posts while updating:

And for your mods, search in the customizations board and post the mods you have but haven“t found for icy phoenix.

Hi Folks,

i am very new to here and still got a question concerning the conversation from phpBB2 to Icy ;D

I first did a search about that topic but still found the info that is listed also in the documentation how to transform from phpBB2 to icy (also the spoiler one post above).
But this would not help me.

Let me try to explain:

I have a phpBB board at my site running but i want to install icy. So i did an installation (transformation) listed in the documentation. After i had done this icy was working BUT my normal board was not accessible. What i want to have is to install icy - copy all content from the phpBB to icy and have (for a limited time) 2 boards running - so i can work with the new one, change something - while the normal users can work with the existing one.

Dunno if I could figure out my problem...
Is there a possibility to do this without loosing my original phpBB board?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards
Huor

Just copy your phpbb2 forum db and import into a fresh icy db install. the prefixes have to be the same.
