Post ACP And Site Have Gone Blank .. HELP

1.1.0.15b with the patch to take it to c
template is Ca_aphrodite steel (I think)

I had added in the ACP some categories to the knowledge base and then was attempting to get the news to work on the front page. I had change the name of one of my forums to news and accidently moved it so went back to move it to where it should be and when I hit save my ACP went blank and when I went to check the forum the forum went blank. Any help would be appreciiated.

The site is http://www.free-spirit.info/forum/

I have contacted my hosting support to see if they can help out but I don't think they are very familiar with IP so not sure they can remedy the problem.

TIA

My hosting restored the forum with a backup from last week but now the news forum which seemed to have caused this in the first place is completely gone and when you click on any of the links that say forum there is an error message. This is happening with clicking on the poll as well for results.

Quote:
Warning: fopen(./cache/last_visit_1_-8.00.dat) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/freespi/public_html/forum/forum.php on line 349

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/freespi/public_html/forum/forum.php on line 350

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/freespi/public_html/forum/forum.php on line 351

With a bunch of gibberish underneath the error message.

On clicking on Poll results the message is:

Sorry, but only can read topics in this forum.

I am still going through seeing if there is any other errors but some of the forums don't come up either they have similar error messages.

Anyone? Please? I dont want to lose everything on the forum and am trying to work through this as best I can but it is getting frustrating.

Optimize the db.
Delete all cache for all templates from ACP.
Re-compile all cache for all templates from the ACP.
Do some db maintenance in ACP.

Thanks novice programmer but I was able to fix the problem with resetting the permissions on certai files I am not sure what happened with this mess but it was sure a mess. The hosting found corrupted files and was able to restore with a backup but all the permissions were off so they had to be reset. Once permissions were reset things seem to be back to normal. Ugh in all the time I have had forums never had a mess like this one. I will keep this for future references in case it happens again. fingers crossed it doesnt.
