I just wanted to report that the "last messages" scrolling row doesn't work correctly in Firefox.
It begins from the right border of the browser window, instead of coming out from the right border of "Statistics" window.
Not a major flaw, but it used to work fine in phpbb-xs.

I forgot to add that, if enabled, the scrolling bar with the last topics forces the page to an enormous width that need to be scrolled horizontally to be seen entirely!
Definitely not a nice effect...  

Incidentally, is that the reason why this option is not enabled on this board?

I found out that it is a bug of Firefox version 3.
Hope they will fix it as soon as possible, meanwhile I've downgraded it to version 2.0.0.11, which works fine!
Think twice before upgrading your Firefox!
