Post Problems With Search Engines

It would be great to have some detailed informations about how to have an Icyphoenix based site indexed by search engines ?
I can see the bots are crawling the site but the site is not indexed @ 6 months from installation and with several links pointing to the site...
The google search only returns the metatags....
I read there are several ways to solve this problem, but I never found an explanation how to do it....
Maybe someone is going take the time to help out with a detailed description ?

Thanks

First: Google could take several months before indexing your site.

I recommend you to index it also in Yahoo! (very fast)
Goole indexes sites mors quicky as more links to it are on the internet, as it follows all the links.
Also, I recommend you t authentificate you as the owner of the site in all search engines.

Thanks for your reply, this is not the first site I build so I know how to SEO, and the time it takes with the different search engines.
However, I am a first timer with database driven websites and Icyphoenix.
As I said the site is scanned and the google search returns some results, but only the meta part and not the page content, so I don't think it's a problem with the bots being directed to the site, as they do find the site but they just don't "read" the content of the pages....

I believe there must be something that keeps the bots from indexing the page content....am I the only one to experience this problem ?

It seems like a bug...

Edit:
What version are you using?

I'm using 1.1.0.15...

I noticed that the description Meta Tag of all pages doesn’t contain the page information, but only the default static information, so that a search like “site:www.mysite.com” returns all the pages indexed by the Search Engine having all the same description. But I don’t think this is related with the content of the pages that S.E. can see as I can find any page (among those indexed by the search engine) typing some text contained in them.
I’m also using version 1.1.0.15.
