Post Little Problem With UPI2DB

Hile, neighbours and friends...

Recently I have activated UPI2DB in my forum. It works fine, but the problem is that even when I have red all the messages, now, tham main top menu still says "New (50) • U (0) • M (0) • P (0)". If I've red them all, shouldn't it say "New (0) • U (0) • M (0) • P (0)"?

Greetz!!

I've seen something like this in the past, but the problem was with UPI2DB counting posts as unread in Hidden forums... - so for people that can't access those hidden forums, they are always presented with new/unread posts even when they read all they can see. This, though is meant to be fixed.

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but are there any hidden forums, or messages that have been "edited as new"? Best thing is to look into your database and see what posts are being counted... (I recall its all stored in upi2db_unread_posts, the "new" being derived from login. It could be pretty big, so when you browse the dB, sort by username, so you can see what, if any posts for you are unread... maybe something in the last_update field that triggers it?)

Nope... That's not the point, M...

What I mean is that when I'm using UPI2DB the "Cookies" system still shows how many new messages are there in the forum since the last time I connected and, as now I don't use the cookies system, they aren't marked as red...

Don't know if you know what I mean. UPI2DB works fine... Cookies system is disabled, so it still says: "New(50)" as "New" means "New messages since last visit", which are calculated through a cookie...

Greets!

Thanks for you to be interested!!!

Now, I realized that it's not a bug. It's normal. It works exactly the same way then UPI2DB is deactivated. So sorry...

But, actually, I think there's a bug in the UPI2DB mod, as very very often, when you click the icon to read the new messages, this one: icon_reply_new instead of going to the newest message, the link takes you to the first topic of that post
