i cant send mails in my forum, i use  Icy Phoenix: 1.2.0.27, and i cant sed de activation mail and de forgotten password, i try to send me the forgotten mail to recover mi password and when push "send" tell me the following thing,

i download the phpmailcheck.zip an when a try to send me the mail to my self tell me the following thing,

Not sure about about this but lets give it a shot.

Are you using sendmail (Default), or are you trying to send it purely by smtp from within Icy Phoenix. ?

Hello I use smtp, i send this same error,

to my supplier of my Host and they told me that, "the error is the following, The script utilizes the function mail () PHP, which is disabled in our servers.  The service that was supplied you is for the mail accounts of  your Web site (POP3), that implies not the authorization of that function (this is not supplied under no concept)."

As it says there, my Host not permits to use the script mail () PHP under no concept, if I cannot utilize this script, I cannot send e-mail??  Icy Phoenix utilizes this script yes or yes to send the mails??  I expect its answer, thanks.      

How I read it is:

Your host doesn't allow sendmail. Neither do they allow the smtp function to be used by (Script) or anyone other than yourself for your own personal mail transfer. (Webmaster@, or any other account you set up and use personally -  both ways etc.)

  

They must be terrified, or over-cautious that someone may use their server as a SPAM base.  

Change hosts!
