Hi all

I seem to be running into a problem with the main menu.
I've tried creating new category's and adding new links to pages in the root Dir of the cms.  All appears to be ok when creating them and after creating them but when you go to the home page or any page with the main nav menu block, no changes are being displayed.

I've tried using different browsers & clearing cache but still no change.

Well hope this is a simple problem and me just being blind.

Well, didn't really solve the problem but have managed to come up with my own menu this time. It's not half as good but until I understand the cms a little more hyperlinks will do LOL.
Sure some one will help in a few days when they have time ???

look´s like you ran in the same problem like me some time ago.

try editing templates/mg_themes/nav_quick_links.tpl

I toke a look at nav_quick_links.tpl and to me it looks fine from what I could understand. Then again there's a lot of it I don't really understand like href="{U_DB_GEN}">{L_DB_GEN} are those like quires to another file ? Does it read that quires from the sql db then spit out the entry there ?

I was just putting the direct links to the files in href=""
I get the menu come up but no name

God knows, I guess I'm gona have to sit down and learn it all.

Unless you found a work around when it happend to you ?

i created y brand new nav block and quick nav links.

that was the only way i found around the problem.

but if you look at my site at the moment it´s the original nav block, cause i´m working n a brand new site.

Well, I tried creating a new block and inserting my own nav menu but that didn't work out to well as it didn't show up at all. The main block menu showed but it's content did not. So that's just confused me a hole bunch more.

But at least now I've isolated the problem some more, it's not the way the blocks are being displayed it's defiantly got some thing to do with the way it's calling the data for the nav links.

Then again, who knows ? I could be totally wrong LOL.

PLEASE read the documentation threads section as all of your problems have been already answered there.

Exactly.  Trash the nav links block and use the dynamic menu block.  Just switch the menu blocks out for your home page and global.

That´s exactly what i did CHAOTIC.

it runs quiet better for me .

at the moment i´m working on a brand new site and still got some probs to sort out.
but you can be sure that the nav blog is gona be dynamic again.
only problem i had was to disable quick nav menu.
took me some time to figure out.

but thats why we are here. to sort problems out.
