Hello there...

I'd like to ask something about the speed of my XS...

My page is pcbox.gr (fill the www in the front to access it)

If you try to access the user cp ,faq, or anything except forum and topics everything is just fine...
If you try to access the forum everything  goes very slowly      

I tried to test my forum your way described Here creating a post and the results was 9 secs!!!!!!

I thinks tha something is messed up with my database or...i dont know please help me guys !!!!!

Well, first time viewing was 9s, then every time after, I get something like:

Page Generation Time: 5.763s (PHP: 99% SQL: 1%)
SQL queries: 26 - Debug On - GZIP Ενεργοποιημένο

and occasionally:

Page Generation Time: 3.0113s (PHP: 98% SQL: 2%)
SQL queries: 26 - Debug On - GZIP Ενεργοποιημένο


That fact that it is mostly php execution taking a long time, and the fact that it varies by as much as a factor of 3, would suggest there is nothing wrong with your site, but the host server. Remember, when using a hosting package, you are sharing a server with many (could even be as much as 1000) other websites, so if they are getting a lot of traffic, the server will slow down for you also - the degree of variation of the generation speeds could be consistent with fluctuations in web traffic on these other sites. However... if its your own server, maybe you need to look into its configuration...  

I cannot understand why the other pages of my site except forum are opening fast and my forum is as slow as a turtle....   

Are u sure the problem may be in my host and not in my XS configuration?

 If you try to open the portal it loads in a second,I cannot understand what is slowing down the forum...

Can you or anybody else help me find a solution? ?

I think this was the reason...Thanks a lot  diffus my forum loads much faster now!!

Ah, well done Diffus I didn't spot that!

Yes... because of the way the xml is parsed, unfortunately the xs newsblocks aren't cached for rss news feeds...  thats been something I've been thinking about - the moreover rss newsfeed mod has a nice caching system, would be nice to incorporate that in the xs news mod.

You have to enable caching from Styles menu in ACP.

But external RSS cannot be cached...

I know that rss cannot be cached but i didn't new from the ACP where to go to enable caching..
