Using current build of IPCMS Ver 1.3.0.53a
This is not an upgrade "as I tried a year ago" this is a clean install which has been running for about 4 months now in test / dev environment since it was deployed.
Over all "quick settings" changed to "Turn everything ON" right after initial install.
Site was working perfectly "until I actually started making deatiled changes oO"
ACP - NEWS - NEWS CONFIGURATION
Setting altered - News Trim Length (Default=0 "no trim") changed to (10)
Checked main news page and only 4 lines of text appear, ok, so I figured I set it to low, changed the setting back to (Default=0 "no trim"), on test of the news page "there was absolutely no change". Also increased the number to 200 simply to test, again no change.
CMS CASHE FILES WERE CLEARED VIA ACP REPEATEDLY as well as PC browser internet cache during these changes.
And considering I have seen issues with the FTR system, "That too is currently set to OFF in the ACP", (I did activate it just yesterday, and considering that was the ONLY other change I had made this week, I turned it back off).
What am I missing here?
Any help would be appreciated...
EDIT: umm.. Apparently I made more than a couple changes.... sigh

Please, check also the settings for the NEWS BLOCK in CMS, because some of them overwrite the ACP ones.

Thank you sir as you were correct, I am not quite sure how the setting for the (News Block) located on my main index page had ended up set as 250 however I rest it to 0 and now, problem solved.
I am somewhat embarrassed after reading your reply as at first I "assumed" that by making a change in the ACP News Config Trim Settings that it had perhaps updated the physical data setting in the News Block itself located on the main index page. I tested that out to find "it doesn’t". Considering I am the "only person" to ever touch this site config apparently I overlooked the change.
Must be “old-timers” is kicking in >< lolol….
