Icy Phoenix

I fear the way the links are set up on the IcyPhoenix Home (news) section I may get docked for duplicate content.

So I was wondering if anyone here would be able to point me towards the file I need to edit to change the links that are highlighted solid to link to what the title links to. (need all links go to the forum topic)



EDIT: I figured it out :LOL: Guess I could have searched a little harder, I did not need to edit anything but rather change the block to the [advanced news] and configure that accordingly.

IMHO I think you should not worrie about that because any forum software would do the very same thing but what would you really like to change ....unlink the title ?? remove the read more?

Well what was happening with the standard news block is if you clicked "read more" it would show the contents of the thread with a different URL than the thread itself, for SEO purposes that's not a good thing. With the [advanced news] block it redirects you to the thread when you click "read more" 8)

Almost! I just realized something. when clicking the links on the [advanced news] block posts I still get a slightly different URL than I would if just clicking the topic name from the forum. maybe I should not be so worried about it??
I guess Google only penalizes sites that they think have "malicious" duplicates, but would kinda rather be safe.

(the red is what I am worried about, the green is ok)

Incase you don't understand the difference .. the first link is going for the post (postnumber) and the second one points to the topic (full thread)
