Yeas ago I read something about it and they want to protect it.

But only the original color...

If you use something similar, you would be on a safe side ;-)

If you change the insignia, then I don't see what they would have to protest about. ;)

And as for the colour Magenta:

This is Web-Safe: "Magenta" which is #FF00FF

MAGENTA

But then one can also have many variations:

#FF00FA

#FF00FB

#FF00F1

And strictly speaking, they are not the same colour? They also can't monopolise colour anyway. Their argument is valid ONLY as far as their registered elements. So you will need to remove or change them.
