Icy Phoenix

Hi guys.

At XS I made the following sky bar (the red rounded):



And I used this TAGS:



to specific when a link was visible for an user, and when for a guest.

Ok, now with IcyPhoenix no one of that TAGS run. Links stay visible for everyone, so for example the Register link now is visible both for an user and a guest, instead of just the guest, who isn't registered, do I explain?

That SkyBar was OK, and I would like to know, if it's possible, what to do, to make the bar run at Icy.

remember it is overall_header_sq.tpl

Yes, I had seen that TAGS were the same, so I don't understand why don't run.

And, of course, I did it at overall_header_SQ.tpl

Perhaps it may be due to putting the menu bar within the DIV of header. I have tried it, and I've seen that if I put the bar under the DIV, the TAGS work, but if I put it within the DIV, do not work. The problem is that I must keep it within the DIV, because forum's edges become bad if I keep the menu bar out, however inside they stay ok. Some idea?

One hint, on every site the music plays automaticly. In my opinion it's not so good. ;-)

Thanks, TheSteffen. Yes it looks fine, but I had to delete the both right and left shadows :( in order not to get the forum deformed. If MG finds a way to keep them, I'll be pleased.

PD: Yes, music is exasperating, cause every refresh makes it start again. I was trying, but I will surely remove it. ;)

Try to post here that code, so I can check.

Ok, here is the overall_header_sq.tpl code. The Sky banner is DOWN the header, out of the Div:



And it would look like this:



As you can see, I had to delete the shadow_borders from the CSS, because it got deformed.

Watch the third button from the right, it's the Register button, and it appears ok.

Now, the next would be the code for the Skybaner IN the header's Div:



Look how the button before has disappeared, as well as the Profile button (if logged on):



It's unbelievable.

Please, take also note, if you can, that the nav_div (Home>Forum>Etc..) gets some increased height since I installed the Skybar, and I know no way to reduce again:

Ok, I shorted It a bit. The first shows the TOP LINKS code, and the second show the same code but inside the header div. When the code is placed in the div, the Tags don't work.

Why are you using the switch_header_banner?

That is meant only for google ads... or some other banner you insert in ACP.

Why you can't use that HTML code outside the switch? :roll:

Oops, I didn't use the right word, maybe. When I talk about "Sky Banner" I mean the Menu Buttons down the title, those buttons in which i've added a image over each of them. There is the problem, the tags don't run when I try to make disappear some of those buttons, with their respective image. Cause I placed that Menu Bar down the title, but IN the table where the title is, instead of OUT of the table. Then, when the Menu Bar is out of the table, the tags fail, but borders keep OK. However, if I place the Menu Bar IN the table, next to the title (with a breakline) the tags are ok, but borders get deformed, and Resizing in FFox causes a bothering efect. Should I give it up ? :cry:

Can you please take two extra snapshot of your problem, with and without your code, inserting a circle or an arrow indicating the problems... then attach in a zip files both snapshots and overall_header, so I can take a better look at the problem?

Strange, but I tried a last atempt, and I finally got the wanted results. I started from 0: used the Menu bar that I had, over the original overall_header_sq.tpl, and now it runs. LOL

I'm not sure why now it works, I must have tried it about 200 times, XD. But at least it works, that's the important thing.
