The only difference is that one is called Croatian, and the other is called Serbian... used to be fine when it was just called Serbo-Croat

Really, you must be the only Croat I've heard to say they must have everything in Croatian! Theres no language difference when it comes to modern technology, for example in XS, surely? Ali nijeo daleko u XS ne? I bolje ista negu nista! Yes, there are some small differences in everyday life: you say kruh, a Serbian says khlebb... About 50 years ago it used to be the other way round, and a Croat would say khlebb to the Serbian Kruh... so making a distinction between them seems rather silly.

Maybe you and Nikola and team together to rekindle the "lost" language of Serbo-Croat*, and use this as a compromise - making one generic Serbo-Croat language file, because seriously now, there is the issue of lots of files and images, and thus an increased package size for two almost identical languages being regarded as separate, and are in fact closer to each other than UK English and American English! (Forgetting the Serbian use of Cyrillic, which hasn't been done by Nikola in XS anyway!).... How many time must I hear an American say "I dig your pants" for me to realise they mean "nice trousers", as opposed to wanting to create a tunnel through my underwear...

*Amusingly, I have an old Serbo-Croat language book, and when I compared it to a modern updated "Croatian version", the only difference was use of kuna rather than dinar!

Ja geneau.. das ist wichtig!

Seems the mere mention of some friendly co-operation between the two is enough to make them run a mile!
So guys, what do you say?

Today Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian languages are different. You can also see at phpbb.com in download section language files.
And Serbian Cyrillic will be finished soon and will be present only at serbian xs forum

I think its entirely possible to have a common language file that you former Yugoslavian dwellers can still understand. After all, there are bigger differences in other langauges, as I'm sure MG can attest: there is "textbook Italian" and there are the many dialects that people normally use with just as many different words as Serbian and Croatian. And why stop there... "North German" and "Bavarian" as I'm sure Tom could attest. And of course English, that we use in the UK, compared to Imbecile in the US. Hang on... no... thats what they speak in France.
