DEBUG - Critical Error - Could Not Get Theme Data

Subject: DEBUG - Critical Error - Could Not Get Theme Data
Hi, I just had to delete my browser history while re-installing templates.

I get this error message when trying to log in after re-opening my browser:

Critical Error

Could not get theme data for themes_id [67]

DEBUG MODE

Line : 1010
File : functions.php

I know it can be fixed, any ideas?

Hey gearhead,

I had a problem similar to this a few months back.

Try some of the fixes in this thread: http://www.icyphoenix.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4333

Good luck!

Open:

includes/def_themes.php

This should work. ;)

Follow the sequence and add this, or you can change any of the first digits in any single "Block" of script to 67 as in the example. It is not wise to change Icy Phoenix (ice) to a different digit. :(

Then go to the ACP > Reset the default style > Optimise the Database. And all should be good.

Spoiler: [ Show ]

Note: This problem is usually caused by selecting a Style from the Dynamic Menu that is different to the actual Default Theme for the Board, and then uninstalling or changing the Board Default. It is wise to have the Board Default theme the same as your personal selection in the Dynamic Menu when editing / removing themes etc, to avoid this kind of problem. ;)

Glad it's fixed ;)

That's the simple way of doing it. I've also added to the first post the main cause of why it happens, and something to be wary of in future.

Thread Moved to Documentation.

Man, am I glad you taught me how to do this. I had trouble tonight after totally rebuilding my site from scratch.

Boy, it took a long time, then the above happened to me; so I just followed your instructions, but at first it didn't work.

I had to 'lie' to my database, then of course after I put in a theme that didn't exist, then I re-numbered the one that supposedly the database couldn't find, then presto!

I even went and dropped the mysql table "ip_themes", then imported the table with the themes id it couldn't find.

Man, I think that the database is not really 'real-time' as one might think either!
