Hello again. I have successfully installed FAP and the "Upload on Post" MOD and love them! You guys are great.
My question now concerns uploading photos. I have no trouble using OTF or uploading individual photos and the photos show up and move as they are supposed to.
On the ACP, I have the following upload settings:
Max # of files user can upload at a time: 10
Max # of fields to pre-generate: 10
Enable dynamic adding of upload fields: Yes
Pre-generate upload fields: No
With these settings, I get one upload field, and cannot generate another.
If I change the dynamic adding to NO and the pre-generate fields to YES, I still only get one upload field.
Can you give me any help or guidance in this? On the board currently installed, this feature is not that important. But on my other forum, this feature will be very important as members will have numerous photos to post.
Thanks!
Shane

I do not have a test user/password set up, but will by end of day and will post here.
On a side note, what is the advantage of using the nuffload over the standard upload program? I have played with nuffload but apparantly don't have CGI set up properly. I can't seem to find a tutorial in setting the CGI up properly here. I know this is a second question, and will start another thread if needed.
FAP SUPPORT - Upload Fields Not Generating
Subject: Re: Upload Fields Not Generating
There does seem to be a problem with the upload fields pregenerating, but you should be able to dynamically add fields.
Try lowering the Max # of fields to pre-generate to (at least) 1 less than the Max pics allowed....
you should now have the Add File button on the upload page.
Hopefully we can get this pregeneration problem resolved soon.
RE: Nuffload..... one advantage is that you can upload multiple pics at one time in a .zip file
A disadvantage is that some users have difficult time getting it to function correctly, which most of the time is a path issue.
You should search these forums for more info of this.

Thanks Artie! I'll try it and the results.
I've played with the nuffload all day, no joy. I finally found the cgitest.cgi file to download, tried it, and got a 500 server error. I have contacted my host (dot5) about the issue. Hope to get it working some day. I'll ask my cgi path question on another thread once my host cgi issues are resolved.

It worked! I lowered the number of fields to generate to one less than number of files to upload. An "Add File" button was then on the upload screen. Thanks!

I'll verify this when I have some free time.
Thanks Artie for reporting this.
