I'm sad to announce that I'm going to reduce the number of smileys here on this site.
This decision is driven by a couple of important reasons:
- Large number of smileys increase memory usage on server
- Only few are used... this is a support forum, no need of more than 1000 smileys
I have discovered that a big number of smileys may cause slow down on page loading and extra charge to the CPU together with higher memory usage.
I suggest to all owners of big sites to reduce the number of smileys as well.
