I can yes and it does support them but I have never installed a forum before and don't know where to start. Where to start? Upload all the files from the XS package!
Then you acces your domain (where the uploaded files are) and start the DB installation. If you go to your site for the first time, you're automaticly taken to the installation. From there it should be self explaining.
And have a look at the readme.

If you wish, I could take a closer look at CPanel. I shouldn't be to hard...

It isn't for the first time as I use to have my forum on the Chatterz address but moved it to Friendz4life as I couldn't install and my host offered to do it for me. Since we have fallen out though and he updated it badly (see all of my support questions, LOL) he has deleted it so I am going back with my better host. The only trouble is that they don't do installs.

Hmmm... no need for me to do it then.

I just looked at the demo and I think the best way to do it, use file manager to upload the package as zip file and then extract it on the server. Looks pretty simple.

Ok, I've managed to set up the database and I set up all the permissions. However there is still an error about a missing file which is where it's supposed to be. I'm trying to figure this one out.

Sorry Tom, I thought from what he posted that Lgion had finished but he hasn't uploaded the templates he just told me. :LOL:

not all files were setup

now im finishing uploading all the files i uploaded 98% of the files today now finishing up

this mysql database: cbowner_forum was already setup you overote it tom LOL its ok i fixed it, now im giong to merge the 2 forums

Guys at phpBBXS i need your help with this because the error seems to be coming from phpBBXS

I was uploading one of the mysql backups Claire had made and it was appx 30 MB, once it was done about 20 min, it said "phpbb_album" was not found so i took a look at the mysql tables and i found "INSERT phpbb_album" and many other tables like those and it shows clearly it is inserting the album tables, however it keeps saying that error. My doubts are either Claire was using a old version of phpBBXS but she said it was the latest version so never mind that, or it could be that the other phpBBXS was custom modded which i doubt since Claire seems to be a person of "just install & use".

Anyhow does anyone have a clue what the problem could be? I tried then creating a mysql user and connecting it with her other mysql database it connected perfectly but it said "ERROR GENERATING NEW SESSIONS from session.php" so i chmodded session.php to 777, still nothing, something seems to be wrong...

:cry: any help?
