Aquarium colors to me should be soft and pastel-like to compliment the pics and be easy to look at. I'm not criticising your choice of colours - because as I've said to you before "Blues" are difficult colours to work with. But in my opinion your choice of colours are too strong for most people to browse over a period of time.

That was the first thing that hit me. :shock:

I don't think anyone can suggest a colour-blend to use, because that could go on forever. ;)

If I was about to make a fishy / aquarium theme, the first thing I would be doing is browsing for themes with the associated keywords applicable to what I'm planning to do; and see what someone else has put together. It doesn't matter whether it's Wordpress, Joomla or whatever.

Then when something "Smacks me in the Face" as being really nice (Colour-Wise), I take a snapshot and use Absolute Color Picker to find what the colours are.

There's a lot of free stuff out there with great banners etc, that one is free to use as they see fit, the same for a lot of gradients.

It also saves a L.O.T of work because you sort of get a preview of something you haven't made yet. :P
