Ok I have installed FAP on a test forum to check that I could do it correctly which i can but the thumbnails arent working at all I dont know if i got the right settings or what but i just want them to workkkk! However i have got 1 to work but thats it and it was really really small file!

I have searched the forums and found no help use to me peole talking about RC5 and RC10 and i dont even know what it is or where to find it.

So basically if i can get some help with knowing what settings to have to get thumbnails working and where to find this RC thing it would be helpful :D

What kind of GD support is on your server.

Check your ACP>Photo Album>Configuration --- GD Info

Does it differ from this ?

Go back to your ACP and clear your thumbnail cache.
If that doesn't help, post your ACP thumbnail settings.

Cleared it still nothing here are my settings:

Your pics don't appear to be huge, so I don't think it would be a memory issue. :shock:

Have you tried with the old thumbnail function set to no ?
Is your GD Version set to GD2 within the ACP Upload tab ?

FYI: Anytime you make a setting change involving your thumbnails you need to clear the thumbnail cache.

Ok i did as you said the version was set to GD2 turned old thumbnails off and cleared cache and now i have the photo title as a thumb nail instead of a picture or a black box.

Any ideas?!

Double check that you performed this part of the install correctly .... especially the highlighted part

I do not have these folders in that directory or any where else :S i dont remember seeing that in the instructions :S

Maybe i done it wrong would it still work if i didnt have them as i installed it correctly
