Icy Phoenix

I have converted to this after failing at finding a good solution for a phpbb3 portal with the needed modules i would have liked.

I was wondering if there was a way to have a moderated forum. Meaning that when a user posts, the post has to be approved by a mod before it shows?

And is there any site with a list of mods/blocks users ahve done? it doesn't seem there are that many here.

Have you checked the Icy Phoenix Customizations forum? There are quite a few MODS in there adapted for Icy Phoenix use.

Also, there are a ton of blocks that come straight out of the box with Icy Phoenix. Have you had time to check them all out?

There isn't a moderated forums feature in Icy Phoenix and no one here has created a MOD for that...yet.

I am still looking through the stuff that came stock with IP....just not used to where everything is and i just found the doc forum a little bit ago.

Looked briefly through the customization forum....but for the most part there doesn't seem to be much...dunno if that's the case or if im just missing something LOL.

EDIT: i noticed there is a section for phpbb2 and 3 mods...do those work for IP or are they there for informational purposes?

What different MODS were you looking for? If Icy Phoenix had any more MODS preinstalled, it would blow up. There are a few additional MODS in the Icy Phoenix Customization forum, but the main focus of MOD development will be for the next release of Icy Phoenix. We currently have a beta you are more than welcome to try. As soon as it is out of the beta phase, you'll see an influx of old MODS updated and perhaps new MODS our users want to share.

That link has a few MODS for phpBB2, but for phpBB2...not Icy Phoenix. The same applies for the phpBB3 MODS listed on the downloads page.

The DOC forum won't have a full list of blocks that are available, but if you are using Icy Phoenix right now, you can browse through the vast selection. There is even more selection in the beta.

Namly the Knowledge base and calendar were important...phpbb3 didn't have any good one's that i could find (especially since site is down)

Right now there isn't really anything i can think of. I just like looking through and finding out what's out there.

So the PHPBB sections are for reference and won't work with IP at all? or just the forum section for IP?

I do like alot of the options that IP allows for...the CMS section was a little wierd to get used to but I think im getting used to it.

Is there anywhere that lists the main differences between this version of IP and the beta that's currently out? I may give it a try and see what's up LOL :D I haven't gotten to look at the link you posted yet FYI

The MODS you see in that category are for regular phpBB forums, not Icy Phoenix. Icy Phoenix already has the FAP and Multiple Ranks MODS.

It is linked below the main menu... unfrotunately there are so many things on this site that I cannot still find a way to make all of them being appreciated.

I am really impressed with the CMS though. I love it :)
