Icy Phoenix

I have a problem with just my main PHPBB 3.09 main screen and I just noticed it last night but it may have been that way for a while and I missed it. I found another site that shows the same thing so I am not the only one. Look at the problem where the current time is shown in the link below. What causes that and how/where do I fix it?

p.s. I tried re-installing versions 1.63, 1.64, etc and no luck

You should match your style version with the phpbb version you use, we are now at black pearl 1.6.7 for phpbb 3.0.9

Joshua,
I did install 1.67 from here to fix the problem and it remained. Maybe I didn't reset it properly (but I think I did). That's when I went on the wild goose chase looking for the fix. I will try 1.67 again and if it doesn't work I will ask for more help here.

If you already are up to date you must have missed the breadcrumbs file edits :wink:

I have it working now. I guess I may have missed clearing the template cache before but I did it this time after the 1.67 didn't appear to work yet again. :wink: Here is what I did this time. I made Pro Silver the default and deactivated Black Pearl. I deleted the Black Pearl folder from the website. I installed the 1.67 Black Pearl. I activated and made it the default. Didn't work. I cleared the cache and deactivated Pro Silver as it didn't seem like Black Pearl was switching to the default. Once I got the "Used By" number to move back to Black Pearl, it all works as designed. I must have missed the cache thing yesterday... :oops:

If it's all working now it means Spydie was right and you have nothing to worrie about.

Next time if you update you can just overwrite the whole style and purge the cache, if you have no modifications you need to keep! (always make a backup before you start :wink: )

Ok thanks Joshua. I think I missed a few Black Pearl updates in the past but never had any problems before. Maybe my brain was thinking clearer in the past...
