hi everyone,
the basic colours of my website's front page are black & red, so black pearl suites it to a 'T' . however i'd like to do a couple of small changes, but i'm having some difficulty, the changes.......
1. my own logo at the top, which is 800x100, the default size is 150x150
2. i'd like to link that logo to my websites front page rather than back to the forum index
3. i've adjusted the global width of the black pearl but i'm getting some 'added' text displaying, i'm guessing i've deleted some code thats making this appear but i'm not exactly sure where or what it is.
thanks for reading.

Then you should start over again and do one thing at a time and test it as you go to see where you break it.

Hi Anthony, welcome to IcyPhoenix,
I guess what you mean to tell is that you are trying to find in the html files what you've found in the source code of your page, you can't, because the variable {SITE_LOGO_IMG} is already replaced in the sourcecode.
The extra text you have is just what you say ..removed bits of code in your overall_header.html
You also seem to be missing the show/hide buttons for the forum tables, I assume this is happening because you wrecked the include for _mg_config.
You should be able to fix it by changing it back to:
About your logo, I'm sure you'll be able to find many topics about this if you search our phpbb section.
A couple of examples from my quick search:

As you can see there are many ways to change your header so if you need help, you need to be very specific in explaining what you want to achieve exactly (in the full header)
Starting over from scratch would be a good idea if you don't know what you did at all

I have one question though ...do you have any reason to set the overal width to 1890px?

mainly for the posting of larger than average images
Subject: Re: Help To Customise Black Pearl Style
I mention it because I have to scroll horizontal at your forum now, why not try 100% and maybe find a good image-mod?

This is a good photo-reducer that I use to reduce images posted from a url. ;)

I would advise to use Highslide to allow the user to enlarge images to maximum width.
It won't break the template for those accessing with low resolutions.
