Hi

I am attempting a university project for my final year... basically I wish to design and build a very basic CMS and template system very much like IP but without phpbb being included...

This will never be a usable system but I am interested in how PHPBB parses the template code without having to have lots of php within the files. I have looked how extreme styles function and wondered if that was possible using just php.



Sadly I am unable to use IP as my project but I would like to build something similar also any information on classes


If anyone has some site links for this information or how to's I would be very grateful.

phpBB template was originally based upon Smarty you may refer there for any information. :mri:
