FAP SUPPORT - Errors After Moving Site From Test To Live

Subject: FAP SUPPORT - Errors After Moving Site From Test To Live
This is my error when trying to view an image - also, the images aren't showing up on the portal:

Quote:
Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: Stat failed for album_mod/upload/ee08e9b64c909c8518147f0c1e3a380d.jpg (errno=2 - No such file or directory) in /home/ascottb/public_html/album_showpage.php on line 1109

The "ascottb" is an old username from the test site.

How & where do I change the various fields to get this set up going to the correct site?

Also, I'm a bit confused about this instruction:
Quote:

Change "Path to cgi-in" in Admin CP to a relative path from phpBB root to your cgi-bin

The actual location is this: www.mysite.com/public_html/cgi-bin

How would I note this in the ACP? I see this field in ACP:
Quote:

Path from phpBB root to cgi-bin (i.e. ./cgi-bin/ if you have phpBB in a sub folder)

It is currently set to: ./cgi-bin/ Is that correct?

Thanks

Any thoughts on this?

Is there some sort of authorizations issue that I have to fix now that I've moved this to a live site and changed the config.php file?

Thx

You would most likely need to change these fields

server_name(Domain Name) and maybe script_path(Script Path)

in the phpbb_config table.... either through phpMyAdmin or ACP board confid

Well, I have made changes Configuration in ACP, in config_php and directly to phpbb_config through phpMyadmin. I had to do this to get my db working on my new server, but I am still having the problem with the album. Images don't show up on the portal (red x) and I get that error at album_showpage when clicking on the image.

I was wrong about "ascottb" being old info. That is correct. So that isn't the problem. For whatever reason, the album did not like making the switch to the new server.

thats strange. i have moved my forum numerous times locally as well as on to different forums and it worked fine.

The folder album_mod/upload/ is exactly in the same place (in the folder structure) as it was on your test server?

When trying to get to link to the picture directly, will that work?

Link to live site

Link to test site (where there is no problem with the album) for comparison

test account details in PM

FYI: Your problem was not with FAP, but your general forum configuration.
You had your script path set wrong (/public_html). Solved by resetting it to /

Did notice some stuff missing from your ACP>Photo Album >Configuration ...... check that you have edited the "admin/page_header.tpl and have copied the file FAP.css" in your template ..... review the FAP install text.

Thanks for checking that.

The sript path was just / until things weren't working correctly and then I changed it to public_html on a whim since that is the folder that my host seemed to be requiring.

As for FAP in the ACP, I do have Photo_Album: Categories, Configuration, Permission, Personal_Galleries. Was there something else that I don't have? I compared the test site to the live site and the FAP in the ACP seem to be identical. What's missing?

I'll check all the edits again. After I moved the db to the new host and uploaded all of the files, something must have gone wrong. I figure a file must have not made it uploaded. I'll reupload all the FAP stuff.

When you click on ACP>Photo Album>Configuration you should see this ?

album_cfg

Only the Album tab appeared when I visited.

Yeah, I've got all of those tabs. It just is a big mess becuase of troubles I've had with css in the headers. But it's all there.

I'm still confused as for the reason the images aren't showing up. Could it just be because it's on a new host? I don't understand what the error message means or why the images don't show up. It's like they're gone. :?:

They weren't there on my first visit. I looked again, but the tabs are not there and the image that is mentioned in the error message (above) is not in the upload folder of the live site ( hence the error )...... but it is in the upload folder of your test site.

I'm thinking that your (live site) domain is pointed to your (test site) subdomain.

Artie,

Instead of a screen print, I just copied the text of the tabs:

Quote:
If you change the current Photo Album settings and then select another tab, you will be prompted to save your changes. The system will not save the changes for you automatically.

Album | Album Index | Personal Galleries | Upload | Thumbnail Settings | GD Info | Cache

So I'm not sure what you saw. I still don't like the format because of whatever I did in the header, but I don't have any time to worry about that right now.

Lefty74: Sorry. I didn't see your post there. Didn't meant to ignore you.

Yes, the folder album_mod/upload was in the same place, but I think the issue might have been CHMOD related. I don't know. I just deleted the pictures and uploaded new ones. No matter ultimately as I'll be copying the db from site to site without pictures anyway. But I was concerned that it was a bigger issue than it turned out to be.

Thanks, guys!
