Hello!!!

My problem is that when I'm uploading the file .htaccess my host says that filetype  is not allowed, but I tried to upload with another name ( htaccess ) and finally it's uploaded... i wonder if that would generate problems when I install the forum...

your forum should work anyway... but the .htaccess are at the package for security reasons

Thank you Zuker, so this file is very important...  do you think it's gonna work with another name? htaccess without the point (.) I mean

no beacuse htaccess is the extension of the file

Try renaming it to htaccess.txt
Upload and then (on the server) rename it back to .htaccess

If the server doesn't support .htaccess he cannot do anything
