[SOLVED] Smiley Widening

Subject: [SOLVED] Smiley Widening
Hello again everyone.

Since moving my IMPortal over to the latest patched version of IP, I've had a few problems. I'm seeing an extreme widening when posting and replying to a topic. This widening also happens when editing a block in the CMS.

It has to be the smiley rows/columns messing with the page format. I went into the ACP ->Configuration -> Site and changed the smiley table rows and colums, and clicked submit. I went back into ACP -> Configuration -> Site and saw the settings I entered were no longer there...they were missing. Something isn't working correctly, LOL.

Here are a few pictures to describe the problem:

Any ideas what is happening here? Is there another file I should run in the /install folder?

Unfortunately IMPortal is not an integral part of Icy Phoenix. If you are having problems with IMPortal then it would be up to them to adjust the code to suit the latest version of Icy Phoenix and not vice-versa etc. :(

Sorry Old Chap - Moved to "Other Mods Support" ;)

@Lopalong this is about Icyphoenix , not IMportal ,Chaotic as he say updated phpBB2 IMportal with Icyphoenix

Sorry Limun, but this leads me to believe that he is trying to move IMPortal to work with Icy Phoenix.

If it's a conversion - then it needs to made clear that, that is what it is, because there is a difference between move and convert. ;)

This tells me that he knows the select columns are empty - because whatever he puts in there doesn't stay there. ?

Drum roll please....

.

I converted to IP.

I actually got it working late last night after a bunch of hit and misses while changing some database tables. The smileys are presented correctly, the fields in the ACP are working correctly.

Thanks for helping guys. Lopalong always jumps to help first and Limun is always close behind to help as well.

Thanks again.

Glad you persisted until you fixed it. :)

Just clear this up for me:

IMPortal is a MOD (Add-On Application) for phpBB2* etc (I know it's also used for other forum software too) ;)

True or false ?

Subject: Re: [SOLVED] Smiley Widening
I guess you could consider it a mod for phpBB 2 in the sense that IP has moved pretty far from phpBB to be it's own product. :)

Thanks for that, because I was always under the impression that IMPortal was in fact a stand-alone application that was adaptable to various forum code and format. I was also not aware that IMPortal has apparently been used as the basis for IP's index - Until just reading it in the Credits. :(

Lop, Wipes egg off face - Hides head in shame.

Blames Chaotic for the confusion by mentioning phpBB2 and IMPortal in the same line / post when possibly neither needed to be mentioned. :P

Feels better - dust's off problem and guilt - ROFL - LMAOAOAOAO!
