Hi guys,
with the new release I have also decided to remove all external banners from this website.
The reason is that I was tired by some of them... too invasive and too small income to justify that...
I guess I will only work with direct sponsorship in the future, as I could have a better control and hopefully more stable income.
I may have missed to remove some banners somewhere... if you notice that, please report directly to me.
Thanks.

We are always able to donate money to the project and by the list of past supporters, you may do just fine. 8)

I agreed with you! The external banners are too invasive and moreover have the bad impact on Icy Phoenix and on the users that evey day visit the site.
Maybe, is a strange idea, my opinion, but why you don' put the Icy Phoenix's banner on my site for example, and also in some website developed with I.P, so whoever can donate money.
Concerning me, you've my authorization for CucinaInSimpatia

Now that's really invasive.
In all probability, users that know nothing about Icy Phoenix will not be willing to donate money. It's the users that have a direct working relationship with Icy Phoenix that will donate and contribute to the community.

Yes, it definitely got faster
I'll do the same by contribute with styles that can attract people to IP! I guess the more users the more donations...

This is my idea, work with current IP host (whoever IP is hosting right now) for referral fee. IP can refer new users or switch host. It will help something.

Thanks for your feedbacks.
As I always said, the best contribution I may receive for this project is active contribution to the community: support, styles, knowledge sharing, and so on...
If I wanted to make money with this or similar project, I would never have started an open source project and community.
The money donations and banners revenues I received so far just cover part of the hosting costs (I'm on a managed dedicated server) and I'm quite happy for that, so thank you very much to all the donors and also to all the community members who made this possible.
Open source projects are not made by money (even if some of them have good contribution revenues now) but by good active contributors.
I'm already in touch with another hosting for something similar...
Thanks

I too will try to contribute some when i have.
Icyphoenix is the most perfect forum CMS i have seen. And shouldn't go down at any cost.
