I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but with IP 1.3, I just found out that tags won't insert, and new sitepage won't create, but it worked fine in IP 1.2

I just went to CMS>standard pages>add site page>fill all fields>

What seems to be happening, is tags are not being created and the page is not automatically generated.

Maybe a master switch somewhere that allows new page creation?

I just tried to replay that, but it look´s like it creates the page without any problem.

Yes, it shows up in the list, but is not created, and cannot view it.

Yes, and it seems that the tags for the page are not being automatically created. I just wanted someone to confirm this.

Because in the IP 1.2.027 tags were created, and the page would be generated and added to the sql file, but that is not happening......

Update: I just tried creating a new page with CMS on my styles test site, and same problem. No page really created, even though it's in the list of pages.

Works fine on my sites...

fill out the title add for example home.php

click submit page is created...

if your server does not permit it pages will not be crated automatically....


no master switch to create new pages.. it all depends on the server...

update:

I created a page, but with the new IP 1.3 version it's different from 1.2.....

Please, don't try to create a page using this page and this button:

which, has a "add site page" button on the bottom. I can't create a page there (see pic)



but, you have to go here:

http://www.yoursite/icy/cms.php?mode=layouts

and here is what you will see:



So, there is the same button, "create site page". You can create it from there.

See the 3rd entry, morenews? That's the new page. You have to go to the above link which is labeled
"CMS Pages" to create a new page. You choose the name and filename, the layout, then you can edit it as you wish.

A little different from 1.2, but don't think you can create a site page from the first link.......

ahh yes.. standard pages does not creat pages like 1.2 If I had realised what you were doing I would have pionted you in the right direction...

Standard pages allows you to add more pages to use blocks on....

This is correct... Standard Pages are only meant if you want to add extra blocks and permissions on those pages that are not created using the CMS.

Different CMS sections, different purposes... but we are lacking a full documentation on every feature. :sad:

We need to build it from time to time.

Is someone willing to explain the difference in a new topic so I can move it to Docs?

I had good luck also with creating a nice dynamic menu. That one takes a little more time, but well worth it.
