how can I set the Forums Permissions to give the ability for users to edit their own topics for the first 10 or 20 minutes?
It is possible that ?

Forums Permissions
Subject: Re: Forums Permissions
I'm pretty sure that isn't built into Icy Phoenix. In fact, I'm not sure if there is a time limit at all to when a user can go back and edit their post. That would be a nice little feature though. You wouldn't have users going back and editing their posts that were made in 2006...

Nice idea. But that´s an issue MG has got to do.
We´re still searching around like crazy, looking for thing´s that have changed position and page in the root.
there´s so many changes in the hole script that nearly nothing is where it was before. LOL

And do not forget that a bad user (if they are angry with something) could not after two years to come and put all the post a dot only...
Until now avoid this by not allowing users to edit.
But if there is a time limit for example 30 minutes or it can be determined by ADM it is easy and more fair.
Frankly I thought that in ADM/FORUM/PERMISSION in Edit choosing SELF would work !!!!!
If know someone well of these customization, can be a useful opinion

You could try creating a fake user account on your website, posting in a forum, and turning SELF on in that forum. I believe that still allows the user to edit their post. I know setting a forum view/read to SELF allows only the topic creator to see the topic. Anything is worth a try though.

@ Costa
I'll rework this MOD for you tomorrow. :mricy:
Edit: What the heck. I looked at it, and it actually took 14 minutes to convert this from go to whoa: :mryellow:
Sure sign of tooooooooooooo much time spent here! :censored:

This hack allows an administrator to set a time (in minutes) a user has to edit their post. Setting a value of '0' allows unlimited editing. Administrators and moderators can always edit their posts.

I think that MG should look to adding this to the IP core. After all, it is switchable.
