I've a XS 049 , and I've been modding the helpdesk_body.tpl a bit, but I can't save the options in the ACP (ACP >> General Admin >> Help Desk); there isn't any Save button.
This is a horrible mod. I really don't like it, but that's no secret. ;)
Anyway, if you can't set up what you need via ACP, better not to use it at all. The entire thing would have to be rewritten to make it fairly customizable.
