I was wondering if there is an area already included that you can require admin approval prior to someone accessing the site? I looked around in the ACP, but I did not see an option like that. If there is not yet, does anyone already have a mod for this? If not I will work on one, I just thought I would save myself the time if one already exists.

You are looking for a mod that will not show any of the site to visitors without approval from the administrator? I don't believe I have seen anything like that before.

You could set all your menu links, blocks, and forums to private until someone registers a user account at your site. You can also allow users to register their new account, but require administrator approval by: ACP -> Configuration -> Server: Enable account activation: Admin.

Just an alternative! Perhaps someone else will know where to find such a modification.

Have a look at this mod Page permissions..

With this mod you disable any page on your site... or set permissions for certain groups to view certain pages...

Either way you can disable the whole site except for admins...

I hate to butt in again, but Icy Phoenix allows you to customize your page permissions.

CMS -> Page Permissions.

You can set the permissions level of each phpBB page to all, registered, moderator, or administrator.

Could also just set the forum permissions to "user" instead of guest, or any special group you prefer.

On my board for example I have a couple categories that are only visible to admins.
