Post Unable To Install Icy Phoenix 1.0.5.5 Beta

First of all I'd like to thank Andrea and all the staff @Icy Phoenix for their effort and results, I love you.

By the way, I'm not being able to install the package, and the message I receive for each chance I take is always:

An error has occurred during installation
An error occurred trying to update the database
Unknown column 'user_cms_level' in 'field list'

Would anyone please help ?

I give you a warm hug

Marco

Try deleting the Install folder, and upload again, if you already did it, remake your MySQL database, or DB, what your using.

Happy Valentine.

Thanks Shaythong for your help, but I must admit I haven't caught what should i do in your advices.

How may I delete the install directory while i'm in the process of installing ?

The trouble comes on the first screen following the "insert the user names, db names and password" page.

I already tried the same process many times but it always happens the same way

Sorry for my hard to understand head

As Shaythong told you, the problem maybe some corrupted installation files, so you have to delete "install" folder via FTP and then reupload it.
After you can try to install Icy Phoenix again.

Yes, what buldo said. To make it easier with steps:

1. Best on new install of IP, but will work if you have XS

1a. Try to install once more, if it doens't work do this:

2. Open your FTP, remove the /install folder even if your in progress of installation

3. Make a new database, removing the old one, unless your upgrading with XS

4. To do a new install: go to your site: /install
Should go automatic or type: /install/install.php

5. If upgrading from XS, look in the install folder, or type in (Forgot the name though, so prefer looking),

install/upgrade_to_xs.php

If that works, or if your already got your site working.

Hmmm I don`t understan this error.

I do CHMOD of Files & Folders Permission correctly,
I do  the second step  correctly too, bd name, bd user, all is good
next click in continue installation

and then said that:

Icy Phoenix Installation
Your config file is un-writeable at present. A copy of the config file will be downloaded to your computer when you click the button below. You should upload this file to the same directory as Icy Phoenix. Once this is done you should log in using the administrator name and password you provided on the previous form and visit the admin control center (a link will appear at the bottom of each screen once logged in) to check the general configuration. Thank you for choosing Icy Phoenix.

Since FTP extensions are enabled in this version of PHP you may also be given the option of first trying to automatically FTP the config file into place.
Choose Download Method
Attempt to FTP config file into place
Just send the file to me and I'll FTP it manually

If I click in download with any option, it gives back again to the first step when CHMOD is necessary :S
but I'm sure that  I do CHMOD step  good

I don't know
In the past I install the xs mod perfect but ip it`s impossible for me now

The version of icy phoenix is this

 5.       Icy Phoenix 1.0.9.9 Beta (04 Mar 2007 05:48)
Icy Phoenix 1.0.9.9 Beta
